Dentistry is a very important part of routine health care for horses, especially for performance horses and geriatric patients. Horses with dental abnormalities may experience difficulty eating/dropping food, weight loss, performance or bitting issues or behavior problems.
Foxfield Equine is committed to providing quality dental care. Horses should have a thorough oral examination at least once a year to evaluate and address enamel points and other dental abnormalities. We use a speculum and sedation as needed to provide a thorough dental evaluation.
We offer dental equilibration with a combination of hand and power floats, wolf tooth removal, extractions and dental radiography.
